Mini Getaway w/ Mountain Views | Near Banff

Our stay was fine. Positive: We stayed at the Mini Getaway with Mountain Views Near Banff for 3 nights in September. The room was a nice size & the beds were comfortable with four fluffy pillows on each bed. The water pressure in the shower was good & there was instant hot water. The WiFi was good. Negative: The room is pretty basic & I don’t feel like it was worth $933 for 3 nights. I plugged my phone charger in behind the nightstand but we had to charge my husband’s phone & my IPad on the floor as there was no table, etc near the plug ins that were not being used (by the fridge, microwave, lamps, etc). There was a large coffee pot with a big can of open coffee but no creamer so we had to go out for a cup of coffee in the mornings.

Great accommodation in a fantastic town, a few tweaks and we’d definitely return. Positive: Comfortable accommodation in a brilliant location. Canmore is such a fantastic place to stay. Beds were comfortable and shower was excellent. Host was easy to reach and checked in on us while we were at the property. They also gave us a Starbucks voucher at the end of our stay, which was really appreciated! Negative: The fridge was so noisy!!! Enough to wake you up through the night. Approximately every 20 minutes it would make an almighty noise, it’s hard to explain it but if you’re a light sleeper this is going to really annoy you. Unfortunately for us, there was only one fork, six spoons and no plates but there is a microwave. We were preparing lunches every day for our hikes and we found this to be a shame, it wouldn’t take much to put in a couple more forks, some knives and a couple of plates. I did speak to the host about this and she explained it’s not a self catering let and that is why they were not available. If this were my property I would put those things in, it would make all the difference for people like us who like to prepare packed lunches.

Convenient location Positive: Good location and clean. Negative: I was expecting a small apartment with full kitchen facilities but was disappointed that it is a hotel room like kind. Though it was well kept and clean but not good value for money.

Good location with very clean facilities. Positive: Excellent communication. Very clean facilities. Comfortable bed. Great location. Negative: Advertised as kitchenette, and had a microwave and fridge but no plates or cutlery only glasses, mugs and teaspoons. Overhead lighting in entryway, but main room has only bedside lamps. Coffee maker and coffee but no kettle for tea drinkers!
